bet: who will spill the beans at the office holiday party?

olive: this thursday is our office holiday party. there will be drinking and merriment and festive good cheer. it is certain to be an atmosphere conducive to forgetting we are with co-workers, and acting like a couple, thus spilling the proverbial beans. while neither mason nor i believe we will be individually responsible for said spilling, we are certain that it will happen. whether it's a look, gesture or comment that reveals we are more than friends, the one who forgets themself or their surroundings first during the party so that a colleague (even one) catches on to us, will be crowned LOSER.
we're posting the bet first in case you (the o&m reader (hi mom)) care to make a guess as to who might win. we might very well start posting bets in advance of lunches/reviews from here on out...

if i know mason, and which i believe i do, he's going down in flames on this one.
Judging from the last party we attended together, my money's on olive being the loser.
This is a difficult call. I think it all depends on who consumes more holiday beverages. But I'm going to have to go ahead and name Mason as the big loser.
I think it's going to be a draw, with both of you keeping the beans safely in their bean-receptacle.

it's about time this thing went back up online. what happened?
if this bet is a draw, i will have to stop reading this blog. is this not the moment we've all been waiting for? my prediction is that olive breaks first. mason's way too good at drinking to let it lower his guard. plus, i think i've seen olive fall down more than once as a result of over-indulging, so a simple hand on the toosh is not out of the question.
agreed with greeds - i've witnessed (and have even particpated once!) the lost marbles on occasion.
I see Olive doing it, but not intentionally. Nevertheless, Mason will appear from the smoke victorious.
update: so olive just came in my office and said that she had to "change" before we left for the pre-party (we're opting to use the time we've been allotted by our boss to go home and freshen up before the party for drinking rather than freshening).
she looked like she had something up her sleeve, but i stand firm in my resolve. i will not lose tonight. i cannot lose tonight. and to ensure that i do not lose tonight, i'm taking several precautions. i don't want to reveal all of them here for fear that olive has somehow boobytrapped this blog with her own personal spy game, but i will say this: my first five drinks will not only have vodka or whiskey in them, but also a splash or two of tonic or coke, respectively (disclaimer: i cannot be responsible for the contents of my drinks after those five have been consumed).
so you see? that's what i call resolve. it's flowing from my pours i say. it's permeating my clothes and starting to stain. and if i'm going to be stained by something, i'm glad it's resolve.
